Terms and Conditions
Durham Beyond Cleaning Services Inc., operating as Durham Clean Co (referred to as “Company,” “we,” or “us”), reserves the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions for our cleaning services in the Durham Region and surrounding areas without prior notice. By requesting service from Durham Clean Co, the client accepts the terms and conditions below and agrees to abide by them. Please read these terms carefully.
COVID-19 Policy
No client shall book a service with Durham Clean Co without fully disclosing any symptoms or exposure related to COVID-19. If you have recently traveled, are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who is ill, you must inform us. Durham Clean Co reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services on the grounds of health and safety.
Refunds and Re-Cleans
Our services are personalized to each customer; therefore, we do not offer refunds. However, if you are unsatisfied with your cleaning, please notify us within 24 hours of the booking start time. We will address your concerns and, if valid, offer a free re-clean. The re-clean must occur within 48 hours, and clients must provide access to the property for the service.
Payments
Payments are due in full at the time of booking. Accepted payment methods include:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
- Interac e-transfer
Credit Card Hold Policy: When booking a service, a temporary hold will be placed on your credit card for the full amount of the scheduled service. This hold is not a charge but ensures that funds are available for the service. Once the cleaning is completed, the hold will convert to a charge. If the service is canceled or rescheduled per our policies, the hold will be adjusted or released as applicable.
Cash payments are not accepted. If alternative payment arrangements are needed, please contact us in advance. A receipt will be automatically sent to the email address provided during booking. Ensure the correct email is entered, as errors may delay receipt insurance.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations: Appointments canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled service will incur a $79 cancellation fee.
- Rescheduling: Services rescheduled less than 24 hours before the appointment may also incur a $79 fee. Rescheduled appointments can be canceled for the same fee.
- Lockouts: If our cleaners cannot access the property due to lockouts or other accessibility issues, a $79 fee will apply.
Move-Out Cleaning
Move-out cleanings are priced for homes that are empty of all personal belongings. Additional charges apply for cleaning inside cabinets, appliances, or areas containing personal items. Clients are responsible for ensuring the home is ready for cleaning as outlined in the booking details.
Cleaning Scope
- Hourly Services:
- Hourly services are billed only for the time booked. Clients must prioritize tasks if insufficient time is allocated. Additional time or tasks may require rescheduling.
- Additional Services:
- Requests for extra services (e.g., inside appliances, garage cleaning) must be made in advance.
- Uncleanable Items:
- We do not clean hazardous materials, pet waste, or heavily infested areas.
Client Responsibilities
- Pets:
- Clients must inform us if pets will be present during the cleaning. While our cleaners take precautions, Durham Clean Co is not liable for pets that escape during entry or exit.
- Clutter:
- Excessive clutter may hinder the quality of the cleaning. Please ensure the space is prepared for our team.
- Access:
- Provide accurate access details (e.g., keycodes, drop boxes). Failure to provide access may result in a rescheduling fee.
Damages and Liability
Durham Clean Co is fully insured. In the event of damage caused by our team, clients must report it within 24 hours of the service. Compensation, if applicable, will be limited to repair or replacement of the item at our discretion. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or damage to fragile or improperly secured items.
Quality Control
Our team may conduct follow-ups or inspections to ensure the highest quality of service. Feedback is welcomed and can be submitted via email or our website’s contact form.
Privacy Policy
Durham Clean Co will not share client information with third parties without consent unless required by law. Calls and communications may be recorded for quality assurance.
Changes to Terms
Durham Clean Co reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions without prior notice. Clients are encouraged to review the terms periodically.
